I remember my official visit to Tennessee like it was yesterday. At the time, Tennessee was not my top choice, but after my weekend visit I had no doubt in my mind that I wanted to be a “Lady Vol”. I went to Tennessee in 2006 and was a member of the rowing team all four years. Being a Lady Vol rower was the hardest challenge I have ever faced. When people ask me where I went to school, I say “I went to Tennessee, I was a Lady Vol”. The name “Lady Vol” means so much to each and every one of us. A Lady Vol is a teammate, a hard worker, a “sister”. We were taught as freshmen, when you wear the Lady Vol logo, you wear it with pride and respect; because being a Lady Vol is an honor. Please do not take that honor away from us. Bring Back the Lady Vols!
